Play Tilt on stream
Tilt is a two-minute daily puzzle that is more fun with an audience. One thing sits on a scale, chat shouts how many of something else it takes to balance it, you lock in a guess and the scale tips.
Yes, you can play it. You are welcome to play Tilt on stream and in videos, monetised or not. You do not need to ask. A link to tilt.day in your description or chat is appreciated but not required.
Why it works with chat
- Everyone can play along. No rules to explain: "how many apples weigh as much as a cat?" makes sense to anyone who drops in mid-round.
- The guesses are wildly different. One viewer says 20, another says 2,000. Arguing about it is half the fun, and the answer settles it on screen.
- It builds. Five rounds, easiest first. Round five is the mega round, where answers run into the hundreds of thousands and almost nobody is close.
- It is short. A full puzzle takes two to five minutes, which makes it an easy opener, a break between games or a segment of its own.
Stream mode
Open tilt.day/?stream and Tilt switches to a mode made for streaming:
- A 3, 2, 1 before every weighing, so chat has a moment to lock in their guesses before the scale tips.
- Bigger questions and numbers that stay readable on a small player.
- Spoiler-free rounds. Everyone in the world gets the same daily puzzle, so playing today's live shows your viewers the answers. Stream mode offers random rounds that are not in any upcoming puzzle, or yesterday's puzzle, instead.
- No daily limit on spoiler-free rounds, so a segment can run as long as you like.
Stream mode stays on for that browser tab. Tap the Stream label next to the puzzle number to turn it off.
How to set it up
- Open tilt.day/?stream in any browser and capture the window. There is nothing to install and no account.
- Read the question out, let chat guess, then drag or type the number and press Weigh it.
- The scale tips, and the call over it shows how far off you were: spot on, or something like 8× too light.
If you play the daily puzzle on stream, your viewers can play it too and compare scores with you; just warn chat before the answers appear.
Ideas for segments
- Chat versus streamer. Take the median of chat's guesses as one answer and yours as the other, and keep score over the five rounds.
- Guess first, then explain. Say your guess before thinking, then work it out out loud with the method in how to guess weight and see which one wins.
- The daily habit. Play it at the same point in every stream and keep a streak with your audience.
