About Tilt
Tilt is a small daily puzzle about a question most of us never think about: how heavy are things, really?
Each day there is one puzzle with five rounds. You see one thing on one side of a scale and guess how many of something else it takes to balance it. It takes about two minutes, it is free, and it runs in any browser without an account or a download.
Why a weighing game
People are surprisingly good at judging size and surprisingly bad at judging weight. Is a cat heavier than twenty apples? Does a blue whale weigh more than a jumbo jet? Tilt turns those questions into a quick daily habit. Most players finish a round having learned at least one number they will remember, and the answers are good for an argument at dinner.
How each puzzle is made
Puzzles are built from a library of 202 objects: animals, food, sports balls, everyday objects, vehicles, landmarks, planets and even atoms. Each day picks pairs that make sense together and avoids repeating an object within a week, so the puzzle feels fresh. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.
How the weights are checked
A guessing game is only fun if the answer is fair. Before an object goes into Tilt, its weight is checked against published sources: sports rulebooks for balls, zoos and natural history references for animals, government mints for coins and space agencies for planets. If the sources disagree a lot, we either name a specific version (for example "adult male" or "size 7") or leave the object out. You can see every weight and its source on the weights page.
Who makes it
Tilt is made by Faven Games, a small independent game studio that makes short daily puzzles and indie games. Our other daily game is It Took, which asks how many balloons it takes to lift a cat, how many batteries it takes to boil a kettle and other "how many does it take" questions.
How Tilt stays free
Tilt shows a small number of ads, kept out of the way of the puzzle, and offers optional bonus rounds and an optional Tilt+ supporter option. We do not ask for an account and do not collect personal data to run the game. Details are in our privacy policy.
