Tilt is a free daily puzzle about weight. Each day brings five pairs of things, from grapes and giraffes to rockets and paperclips, and you guess how many of one it takes to balance the other on a scale. Each answer shows the typical weights used in the calculation; the weights page lists sources and marks values still awaiting a citation. A new puzzle opens at midnight, the same five rounds for everyone.

Each answer divides the first object's weight by the second object's weight, using the same units. These are representative weights, so real animals and everyday objects can vary. See the weights, estimates and sources, or learn how to make a better estimate.
